XREAL Hub solves the problem of an occupied port: it connects XREAL glasses to a console or phone while letting you charge the device during gameplay. It comes in handy when you want to settle in for a longer session with your handheld device and your own display in the glasses.<\/p>\n

Three connection points<\/h3>\n

The hub has two USB-C ports and an integrated USB-C plug<\/strong>. Connect the plug to your device, then connect the glasses cable and power supply to the appropriately labelled ports. This layout lets you keep everything connected while using the display. The adapter itself weighs 35 g, making it a lightweight addition to your portable setup. Leave some slack in the cables: the hub should not hang from a taut glasses cable.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Power via USB PD<\/h3>\n

Charging uses the standard USB Power Delivery, with up to 45 W of power<\/strong>. This is the maximum supported by the hub; actual power draw also depends on the connected device and power supply. When choosing a charger, take the console's or phone's power requirements into account. The manufacturer provides software protection against damage caused by excessive voltage. The hub passes through power from an external source, so make sure you have access to power when planning to play away from home.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Video from a handheld console<\/h3>\n

XREAL Hub outputs video at a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz<\/strong>, depending on the capabilities of the source device. It does not increase the number of frames generated by the game: gameplay smoothness still depends on the console, settings and the game being played. Supported devices include Nintendo Switch, Switch OLED, Steam Deck, Steam Deck OLED and ROG Ally. When choosing your setup, check the exact model name; compatibility with one version of a console does not automatically confirm support for the next generation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Choose your glasses and phone<\/h3>\n

The hub works with XREAL Air, Air 2, Air 2 Pro, Air 2 Ultra, One<\/a> and One Pro<\/a><\/strong>. The manufacturer excludes the ROG XREAL R1 model. Compatible phones listed include iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, as well as Samsung Galaxy S22 and S23. Other smartphones need video output via USB-C, which means support for DP Alt Mode. A port that only charges the phone is not enough to send video to the glasses.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
