A personal display for films, work and gaming

Xreal One Pro belongs to a family of glasses connected to a video source. According to XREAL's instructions, a direct connection requires a USB-C port with DisplayPort output. The connector shape alone is not enough: a phone may have a USB-C port intended only for charging and data transfer.

Devices with HDMI require a suitable HDMI-to-USB-C adapter. The conversion direction and power supply matter. Before putting together a setup, identify the exact laptop, phone or console model instead of assuming compatibility across an entire device family. Also check whether you need an additional accessory to charge the video source at the same time.

A display does not always mean full AR

A large virtual display does not automatically provide room recognition or overlay instructions on physical objects. The available spatial functions depend on the specific model, connected device and software. It is important to distinguish between a display that follows your gaze, a display anchored in space and applications that use environmental tracking.

• Video source: check the supported port, operating system and required adapters.
• Legibility: compare resolution, field of view and how the glasses fit your face.

Devices with a display on an arm are not the same as see-through glasses that present images in front of the eyes.
