Choose a VR headset for the application first and its specifications second. One setup suits games that run without a computer, another suits a PC simulator, and a different one suits sessions run across several devices. High resolution alone does not determine comfort or whether the software you need will run.
A standalone headset or a PC setup?
Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S operate independently. You install games and applications directly on the headset. Both models can also connect to a suitable computer via Quest Link or Air Link. For this type of setup, check the PC application requirements and the wired or wireless network connection.
If you have a specific simulator in mind, start with its list of supported headsets and graphics card requirements. If the equipment will move between rooms, also allow for setup time. A computer, base stations or additional cables may form part of the system, but not every model requires them.
Display, fit and control method

- Apps: check the specific title, its version and the required controllers.
