AI glasses can make it easier to hold conversations, listen to audio and use an assistant without taking out your phone. Depending on the model, they may also have a camera or display. The category name does not mean that every device offers the same features. Start by considering what you want to do each day.
A camera, audio or information in front of your eyes?
The Ray-Ban Meta family includes frames such as Wayfarer Gen 2, Headliner Gen 2 and Skyler Gen 2. Before choosing, compare not only the appearance but also the size, fit and lens option. Glasses intended for all-day wear must above all fit well.
If you want an image in front of your eyes, check whether the specific model includes a display. A camera that records your surroundings is not a display. Glasses for taking photos, calls and music do not automatically replace a device for watching films or working on a virtual monitor. For that use case, also see the AR glasses category.
Check the language, region and phone requirements
Assistant features and voice commands may depend on the country, language and app version. Ray-Ban describes these limitations in oficjalnym FAQ Ray-Ban Meta. Do not assume that a feature shown in advertising from another country works identically with your account and in Polish.
- Phone: verify the supported operating system and whether the required application can be installed.
- Assistant: check each selected function separately, including its language and regional availability.
- Soczewki: compare tinted and photochromic variants, or the option to add prescription correction.
- Use: consider charging, the case and the operating conditions specified by the manufacturer.
Responsible recording and everyday comfort
Before using the camera, familiarise yourself with its recording indicators and the settings for storing and sharing content. Tell people in the frame when you take a photo or record video. In the workplace, also check internal rules for using cameras and data-processing services.
To compare models, prepare three details: the phone you use, your main use case and the functions you need in a specific language. Ask for help choosing AI glasses, if you would like to check them before buying. The assistant's name or an impressive promotional video should not replace a compatibility check.
