RealWear HMT-1

A Voice-Controlled Industrial AR Computer

RealWear HMT-1 is an industrial head-worn computer for field work. Its voice interface lets you use it without touching a screen or keyboard, including when wearing work gloves. You position the monocular display in front of the left or right eye. Align it with the dominant eye; comfort and visibility of the surroundings must be assessed at the workplace. It is intended for technicians, engineers and service teams who need instructions and remote support while keeping their hands free.

Support Status and Device Version

Support for HMT-1 and HMT-1Z1 has ended. Before quoting, the device version, compatibility with the required apps and service terms must be confirmed. T1100G has a Snapdragon 625, 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage; T1200G has a Snapdragon 626, 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage. These configurations must not be combined into a single variant.

HMT-1 Documentation and Support

Voice control

HMT-1 recognizes voice commands, including Polish, thanks to the WearHF interface. You can open apps, scroll through instructions and take photos without touching the device, which matters when you are wearing gloves or holding tools in both hands. This makes a practical difference in servicing and maintenance, where your hands need to stay free at all times.

Display for Outdoor Work

The monocular display has a diagonal of 0.33 inches and WVGA resolution (854×480), with a 20-degree field of view. Readability of instructions, diagrams and video depends on display positioning, lighting and the app; assess it in the intended conditions.

Resistance to difficult conditions

The housing meets the standard IP66 and MIL-STD-810G; the device also passed a 2-metre drop test. This does not guarantee resistance to every impact or immersion. We will confirm the condition, permitted operating conditions and service options for the offered unit before quoting.

Battery Life for a Working Shift

The 3250 mAh battery provides 9–10 hours under typical use. Actual battery life depends on the apps and conditions. The processor and memory differ between T1100G and T1200G; we will confirm the configuration of the offered device in the quote.

Connectivity and Navigation

HMT-1 supports networks Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac on the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands and Bluetooth 4.1 LE, allowing connection to company systems or a Bluetooth headset. Integrated GPS, GLONASS and A-GPS support positioning during fieldwork, which is useful when documenting service visits.

Document Work as You Go

The 16 MP camera with optical image stabilisation captures photographs and video from the worker's point of view while leaving both hands free for the task. This is useful for documenting faults, streaming video to a remote expert and recording service work. Everything is controlled by voice, so recording does not interrupt the actual job.
