RealWear Navigator 520

Work Information on an HD Display

RealWear Navigator 520 is an assisted-reality computer with a monocular 0.35-inch HyperDisplay HD 1280 × 720 display. It supports instructions, work documentation and remote assistance rather than immersive AR. Confirm readability, applications, protective equipment compatibility and the supplied kit for the workplace and offered unit.

Performance and App Compatibility

Navigator 520 has a Snapdragon 662, 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. HyperDisplay’s higher resolution may require app optimisation. Check streaming and app performance in the intended network and configuration.

RealWear Navigator 520

Voice Control Depends on Conditions

Four noise-cancelling microphones support WearHF commands. Speech recognition works in noise up to 100 dBA; performance depends on the environment, application and how you speak. The device also has physical buttons. Check it at the workstation; voice control alone does not guarantee workplace safety.

RealWear Navigator 520

Connectivity and Remote Support

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connect to compatible apps and accessories. Remote support requires the appropriate service, account, licence and network. Location support is not itself a complete employee-tracking system; agree the integration before deployment.

RealWear Navigator 520

Ruggedness and Workplace Compatibility

The device has an IP66 protection rating and meets MIL-STD-810H. These do not establish resistance to every form of damage or suitability for immersion. Confirm temperature limits, operating conditions, device condition, warranty and protective equipment compatibility for the offered unit and workplace.

Hot Swap Within Two Minutes

The Navigator series instructions require replacing the battery within two minutes to retain the system state. Hot swap places the device in a low-power mode and does not mean every app keeps operating. Runtime depends on use. We will confirm a spare battery and the supplied kit in your quote.

Use cases

  • remote expert support and video conversations
  • instructions, checklists and documentation at the post
  • photos and recordings from the perspective of the employee

Limitations and compatibility

The display has a resolution of 1280 × 720, a 24° field of view and is not see-through. The device can be worn with Workband 2 or mounted on a compatible helmet using the appropriate accessory. Before deployment, verify the apps, network, sign-in, Ari Cloud or the chosen MDM, and compatibility with personal protective equipment. Built-in location capability should not be described as a complete employee-tracking system.

Alternatives

Navigator 520 is appropriate when hands-free operation, IP66 durability and voice control in noisy environments are priorities. Fully immersive 3D models or a wide image require a full MR or VR headset. The optional FLIR module is a separate accessory.

For business

The safest approach is to begin with a single pilot station under the intended noise, network and personal protective equipment conditions. Confirm application licences, account procedures, battery replacement and the method for supporting users while they work.

Frequently asked questions

Does Navigator 520 Work in a Noisy Environment?

Speech recognition works in noise up to 100 dBA using four noise-cancelling microphones. Results depend on noise, the app and how you speak; test performance in a workplace pilot.

Can the Battery Be Swapped During Use?

Yes, but hot-swap requires replacement within two minutes in low-power mode. This does not guarantee every app keeps running or a fixed runtime throughout a work shift. We will confirm a spare battery in your quote.

Does the Device Have a Thermal Camera?

The thermal module is a separate accessory and should not be assumed to be included in the base offer. We will confirm the standard camera specifications, module compatibility and exact supplied kit in your quote.

What Is Included in the Offered Kit?

Contents depend on the specific offer. We will confirm the device, battery, Workband mount, cables, manual and any additional modules in your quote; not every kit should be assumed to include all accessories.
