GoPro MAX2
8K 360° Video and Six Microphones in One Camera
GoPro MAX2 records spherical 360° video in 8K and stereo audio through six microphones. Two sensors combine to deliver 29 million pixels, with Max HyperSmooth and 360 Horizon Lock helping to keep footage steady and level. It supports sports, travel and productions where you want to choose the frame after recording. It is waterproof to 5 m with the door closed and locked. Avoid underwater filming because of image distortion.
A View in Every Direction
Two image sensors with a combined resolution of 29 million pixels create spherical 360° video in 8K. You can choose the frame after recording; 8K refers to the whole sphere, not each cropped view. Spherical photos reach 29 MP, while replaceable hardened-glass lenses with a water-repellent coating help protect the optics from scratches and water droplets.

Steady Footage Without a Tripod
Max HyperSmooth stabilisation helps reduce vibration, while 360 Horizon Lock keeps the frame level in supported modes. Results depend on settings, movement and conditions; not every shake is removed. The camera supports GoPro mounting fingers and a 1/4-20 thread; choose a mount suitable for your use.

Audio From Your Surroundings
Six microphones capture stereo audio from the surroundings with wind-noise reduction. The microphone array alone does not establish ambisonic recording support. You can connect a compatible wireless microphone or earbuds, including AirPods, over Bluetooth for an external audio source. Audio performance depends on the device and recording conditions.

Video Modes for Different Scenes
Alongside spherical 8K video, you can select 5.6K60 with up to 2x slow motion, or 4K100 with up to 3x slow motion when you want smooth slow-motion footage. Max HyperView records with a single lens in 4K60 with a 180° field of view, resembling conventional action footage but with a wider view than a standard action camera. 10-bit colour depth in 8K gives you greater flexibility when colour grading in post-production.

360° mode captures a full sphere using both lenses simultaneously, while Max HyperView records with a single lens in 4K60 with a 180° field of view, delivering a wider shot than a conventional action camera.
